Holy Orders

A sacrament is an outward sign of God's presence and action in our lives.  The Sacrament of Holy Orders in the Catholic Church is the sign through which a man's vocation or calling to service in the Church as a priest or a deacon is recognized and confirmed.  Once ordained, a man lives out his call to the priesthood or diaconate each day of his life in the ministries proper to each of these "orders."
