Charitable Kidz
Charitable Kidz are eighth through twelfth graders who are interested in doing community service with other enthusiastic young people. Their activities are gospel-based and reach out to various groups. Last year the KIDZ conducted a wonderful food drive for our pantry, had a Christmas party for new friends from the Association for the Help of Retarded Children, collected over $4,000 for "Souper Bowl Sunday," held a "Senior Prom" for residents of Sunrise Assisted Living, helped weed and plant at Sophia Garden in Amityville, among other great events.
The first activity for this year was the Friends of the Poor Wa1k. Please join us in sharing our time and talents with others.

Shawl Ministry
This is a group of people that gather to knit or crochet together in a prayful setting. These shawls will then be distributed to new moms, those who are ill or otherwise in distress, along with the prayers and good wishes of those who created them. Lessons can also be provided. If you would like to join this group, please come to the Parish Center after the 9:00 am Mass on Thursday mornings . All are welcome.
Please remember the poor boxes ¬ they are the bread boxes of those in need!
Remember that there is a clothing bin located at the Salem Lane entrance to the parking lot for your convenience. Your donations are greatly appreciated by those in need.
(Please do not leave clothing at the St. Vincent de Paul Office since we do not have that kind of storage space.)
