Union Public Prosecutor’s School opens registration for blockchain and voting course

The Escola Superior do Ministério Público da União (ESMPU) has opened the registrations for the course „Blockchain: perspectives in Brazil and the world“ that it is promoting. The registration period lasts from September 28 to October 8 at 12 noon.

The seminar will be held completely online, in video streaming at 2:30pm on October 8. As much as the target audience of the event is initially members and servers of the Public Ministry, anyone can register. All registrations are free of charge and all must be approved for a total of 1h30m of online class.

Registrations are made through the ESMPU website under „registration“ and then selecting the desired activity. A registration is required, or login if you have already done so. The channel through which the event will be transmitted will be informed, together with the access instructions, via e-mail to all confirmed registrants on the day of the event. The confirmation list of subscribers will be published from 12:00 pm on October 8.

The purpose of the online event is to discuss the „relationship between Crypto Legacy technology and democracy and the exercise of citizenship through voting“, as informed by the academic edict of ESMPU.

The document also states that since blockchain technology offers a record that can be openly inspected and validates transactions to replace previously trusted entities, it could also be used to create a „truly democratic“ voting system while maintaining the security and integrity of the process.

At the end of the event, participants who attended the webinar and confirmed their participation through a link that will be shared during the transmission will be entitled to a certificate. The confirmation should be made within 24 hours after the end of the event and the certificate, if eligible, will be available on the ESMPU page under „Certificates“.
